Birds of a Feather?¶
A “birds of a feather” (BOF) session is an informal gathering to support community discussions. These are popular at many conferences and gatherings as they provide a venue for people or groups in the community to come together to discuss any topic of interest.
At Transform this year there are 2 BOF sessions:
- Tuesday 08:00 UTC
- Wednesday 20:00 UTC
How do I participate?¶
Basically, just come along to the start of the session - if you have something you’d like to talk about, and you’d like to propose that as a topic just come prepared to explain your topic to others (1-2 mins) and with an idea of how to kick start or structure the discussion.
Topics for discussion¶
Topics could be anything you want to chat about - a new project, a new event, a specific domain-like geothermal
, depth conversion, visualization tools, favorite python snippets, datasets — and pretty much anything else.
At the beginning of the session, we’ll hear from everyone who wants to propose a topic and then organize the remaining time appropriately.
If you don’t have a topic to propose, just come along ready to join in the discussion and pick any subjects that interest you.
Where?¶
The BOF session will both take place in the chateau 🔗 https://swu.ng/chateau 🔗
